How to become a patient in 3 steps
1. Request your appointment
Send us a message online or call or text (308) 382-6660. We’ll find a day and time that works for you, Monday through Thursday from 8am to 5pm or Friday from 8am to 12pm.
2. Complete your paperwork online
Once your visit is on the books, we’ll send you a link to your new patient forms. Fill them out from your phone or computer before you arrive, so your 60 minutes go toward your teeth.
3. Visit our office
Set aside 60 minutes. We’ll review your health history, address your concerns, and plan the next steps together before you leave.

Jacobs Dental Group accepts most dental insurance plans, including Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Careington, Cigna, Delta Dental, GEHA, Guardian, Lincoln Financial, MetLife, United Concordia, and UnitedHealthcare. CareCredit financing is available for out-of-pocket costs.

The cost of a new patient visit depends on your insurance and on the imaging you need. Most dental plans cover preventive care such as exams, cleanings, and routine x-rays, and our team will outline your estimated cost before any treatment begins. If a treatment comes up during your exam, you’ll get an estimate before we schedule it.

We know going to the dentist isn’t always easy. Maybe you’ve had a bad experience before, or maybe just the thought of sitting in the chair makes your heart race.
We do things differently. Tell us what worries you and we’ll slow down and explain every step before it happens. Both dentists hold minimal sedation certification, so oral sedation is an option for longer visits or deeper anxiety.

How long does a first appointment take?
Set aside 60 minutes. It includes a gentle teeth cleaning, an oral cancer screening, imaging as needed, a comprehensive examination with your dentist, and follow-up treatment recommendations.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring a photo ID (such as a valid driver’s license or state ID), your insurance card if you have insurance, and any questions you have for us. We’ll send you a link to complete your new patient forms online before you arrive.
Do I fill out paperwork at the office?
No. After you book, we send you a link to your new patient forms so you can complete them online before your visit.
Which dentist will I see?
Dr. Timothy Jacobs, DDS, or Dr. Cody Rush, DDS. Both earned their DDS at the UNMC College of Dentistry and see patients of all ages.
What insurance do you accept?
Most dental insurance plans. The 12 carriers we work with most often appear in the insurance section above, and we offer CareCredit financing for out-of-pocket costs. Call (308) 382-6660 to confirm your plan.
What if I haven't seen a dentist in years?
Start with the same 60-minute visit. We’ll clean your teeth, take the imaging we need, and show you what we find without judgment. If you need more than a cleaning, you’ll leave with a plan and an estimate.
Can I get sedation at my first visit?
Tell us when you book. Both dentists hold minimal sedation certification, and oral sedation uses a prescribed medication taken about an hour before your visit, so we’ll review your health history first and you’ll need a driver to take you home.
What if I have a dental emergency before my first visit?
Call or text (308) 382-6660. We offer same-day appointments for dental emergencies and will do our best to see you quickly, whether or not you’ve visited before.
